FUTURE EXPEDITIONS
Looking to the Future, Exploring the Past...
Never say we don't make plans! Odyssey Dive Centre would like to propose a fantastic technical diving trip for those already qualified and those who will be achieving their technical qualifications in the next year. Newquay has long been the best kept secret in diving (because those who knew about it loved it so much they didn't want to share it) and is host to a wide variety of spectacular wrecks with visability that you wouldn't have dreamt possible in the UK! The area is also teaming with wildlife and you're likely to be escorted to and from harbour by seals and possibly even dolphins.
The wrecks include the famous U1021 that you will often hear the Odyssey directors raving about, as well as the Syracusa (sunk 1898) at 1000 tonnes plus. It's truly an awe inspiring sight to see wrecks of such astounding size, well preserved condition, having laid undisturbed for so long.
You can see Odyssey's hunt for the U1021 in the GALLERY section of www.odysseydivecentre.com.
But as technical diving becomes increasingly popular, the numbers of divers reaching these wrecks will also rise, and their state will likely deteriorate as more and more visitors come. So why not be among the first few elite to reach these depths and vessels? See what others only dream about (or turn green over when watching your video footage!) and join the Odyssey Technical Dive Team for an unforgettable experience.
We will be using the services of one of the most sturdy and well equipped boats in the area, the Atlantic Diver, run by Chris Lowe. The boat can take up to 12 passengers up to 60 miles off shore, and with Twin IVECO NEFF diesel engines rated at 330hp, giving a top speed of 30 Knots, it won't take long to get where you're going! The availability of plenty of amenities and a diver lift make the expedition experience really enjoyable.

The trip will be 3 days of diving and 4 nights of accomodation included.
If you've not already thought about technical diving as a new direction for your diving, then don't feel left out! There's plenty of time to achieve your Tec Deep qualifications before this trip. Why not speak to one of the Odyssey Staff, call or email Odyssey Dive Centre to find out more about the Technical Diving Qualifications available.
