Dive today with Odyssey Dive Centre

Based in Cheadle, (nr Stockport), Cheshire, and in Appley Bridge, Wigan, Odyssey Dive Centre is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre.  This means that Odyssey is licensed to train scuba divers from those with little or no experience through to instructors.

Odyssey diver training takes place all year round.  The emphasis is on thorough, high quality diver training, in a safe and friendly environment. 

At Odyssey, the training takes place in small, friendly groups.  The courses are flexible – you learn at your own pace.  Our instructors and divemasters, both male and female, are on hand to help and guide you at every step of the way.

Odyssey Dive Centre regularly organises trips and expeditions both at home in the UK and abroad.  Divers from Odyssey regularly dive around the world.

Odyssey is proudly associated with Northern Diver, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of diving equipment.  Odyssey and Northern Diver regularly team up to put on open days and events and can be seen at all of the leading dive shows and exhibitions around the country.

Odyssey’s 5 Star IDC base is in the Northern Diver premises at Appley Bridge, Wigan, where divers can relax in friendly surroundings whilst receiving expert advice on diving equipment  or take instruction in the purpose built, state of the art Odyssey classroom.

Odyssey is also the diving training provider for Target Fitness Plus, the sports centres of the Stockport Sports Trust.  Odyssey’s Cheadle base is in the Target Fitness Plus sports centre, with its beautiful pool and other fantastic facilities.

Odyssey divers come from all walks of life and age groups.  There are divers at every level of training and experience and the different interest groups and activities, from underwater photography to kids diving, means that there is something for everyone.  We organise regular social events, too.
